Before Austin and Hillary’s wedding we had never photographed at The Venue at Waterstone, and let me tell ya, this venue did not disappoint. Between the massive windows that let in all the natural light and Hillary’s personalized agate place holders, this day was a bohemian dream! I remember walking into the bridal suite the morning of the wedding smelling fresh eucalyptus and feeling overwhelmed with peace and excitement all at once. With Hillary and Austin’s calm demeanor mixed with their well-planned schedule, Dustin and I knew it was going to be a good freaking day. Hillary runs her own calligraphy business so, needless to say, the Caldwell wedding was filled with stunning decor all made from the bride herself…WHAT. Pinterest ain’t got nothin’ on her, ya’ll! The self-made details really set the tone for the entire day. It was personal. It was sweet. It was perfect.
As the ceremony began, we were in complete awe of the fall colors that painted the giant trees that surround The Venue at Waterstone. The weather was as good as it gets for a mid-November wedding with just a small chill in the air; that snuggly kind of vibe that we all know and love. A close friend of the couple officiated the ceremony and kept the mood light, humorous, and rather nostalgic.
We had the opportunity of spending a lot of time with Austin and Hillary on their wedding day. It was straight out of a fairytale. These two were calm and as smitten as could be throughout the entire day. They didn’t sweat the small stuff, ya know?
They just kept the main thang the main thang and, as their wedding photographers, that is all we can ask for.
