Brittany and Dan: An Intimate Elopement

Dustin and I met Brittany through Dustin’s mother, Lisa. Brittany is Lisa’s hairstylist and she had nothing but raving reviews regarding Brittany’s talent and kind and spunky demeanor. Brittany had mentioned that she was engaged and, as mama’s will do, Lisa began bragging about her son and daughter in law’s photog business and just like that Brittany inquired. The rest is history!

Brittany and Dan are some of the most laid-back and “go with the flow” kinda people you will ever meet. They are genuine and loving and Dustin and I couldn’t have been more excited to work with them. Their wedding day reflected their coolness beginning with a classic diner breakfast at Brandi’s Country Kitchen in downtown Decatur, TX. We laughed and bonded over coffee and scrambled eggs and it was just as magical as it sounds. From there, we headed over to Dan’s friends’ beautiful ranch house complete with a vegetable garden and covered patio, ahh bliss. Once the couple was ready in their Sunday best (quite literally), we drove over to their home church for the nuptials. A few local family members joined in for the special moment and it was the sweetest and most intimate little ceremony with the most love and giddiness.

We moved on to portraits and some fun with the church’s stained glass windows and external flash! Click here for BTS. Brittany and Dan were staying at The Gaylord Texan that evening so we continued on with pretty portraits and mushy kisses. It was such a relaxing yet recharging kinda day for all and we could not be happier for this sweet duo.
